Painter's Palate Festival 2026

1. Agreement to Terms
By purchasing tickets, registering as a vendor, volunteer, or sponsor, or by accessing and using the Painter's Palate website (painterspalate.ca), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or purchase tickets.
2. The Event
Painter's Palate Festival is a multi-day food, drink, and arts festival taking place September 18–20, 2026 at Painter's Lodge, 1625 McDonald Road, Campbell River, BC. The festival is organized and operated by Palate Events Ltd. ("Palate," "we," "us," or "our").
3. Tickets & Purchases
3.1 All ticket sales are final and subject to the Refund & Cancellation Policy in Section 4.
3.2 Tickets are non-transferable except where expressly permitted. Palate reserves the right to cancel tickets obtained through unauthorized resale channels.
3.3 Valid government-issued photo ID is required for entry to all licensed (19+) areas of the festival. Attendees who cannot provide valid ID will not be admitted and are not entitled to a refund.
3.4 Tickets grant access to the event as described at the time of purchase. Palate reserves the right to modify programming, artists, vendors, and scheduled activities without notice and without obligation to issue refunds.
3.5 Lost or stolen tickets are the responsibility of the ticket holder. Palate is not obligated to replace lost or stolen tickets.
4. Refund & Cancellation Policy
4.1 No Refunds. All ticket sales are final. Palate does not offer refunds for change of mind, scheduling conflicts, weather conditions within the event's control, or partial use of a ticket.
4.2 Event Cancellation by Palate. If Palate cancels the entire event for reasons within its control, ticket holders will receive a full refund or a credit toward a future event, at Palate's discretion.
4.3 Force Majeure. If the event is cancelled or significantly curtailed due to circumstances beyond Palate's reasonable control — including but not limited to extreme weather, wildfire, flooding, public health emergencies, government orders, or civil disruption — Palate will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or offer partial credit, but is not obligated to issue full cash refunds. Any credit issued will be valid for the next Painter's Palate event.
4.4 Partial Day / Early Departure. No refunds will be issued for unused portions of a ticket, early departure, or removal from the event due to a violation of these Terms.
4.5 Lodging + Ticket Packages. Lodging cancellation policies are governed separately by Painter's Lodge. Please refer to your lodge booking confirmation for applicable cancellation terms. Ticket components included with lodging packages follow the policy in 4.1–4.3 above.
5. Event Currency (Paint Chips)
5.1 Painter's Palate uses a custom event currency ("Paint Chips") for transactions within the festival. Paint Chips may be purchased on-site or included with certain ticket packages.
5.2 Paint Chips have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash at any time.
5.3 Unused Paint Chips are non-refundable after the conclusion of the event. Palate is not responsible for lost or stolen Paint Chips.
5.4 Paint Chip pricing and availability are subject to change without notice.
6. Age Restrictions & Alcohol
6.1 Painter's Palate is a licensed event. All ticketed liquor-service areas (HOPS, VINE, and licensed portions of other programming) are restricted to guests aged 19 and over in accordance with BC liquor regulations.
6.2 Palate and its staff reserve the right to refuse service of alcohol to any attendee at any time, including those who appear intoxicated.
6.3 Palate complies with all applicable BC Liquor Control and Licensing Branch regulations. Guests are expected to drink responsibly.
6.4 Intoxicated guests may be removed from the event without refund.
7. Conduct & Right of Removal
7.1 All attendees, vendors, volunteers, and staff are expected to treat one another with respect. Harassment, discrimination, threatening behaviour, or conduct that disrupts the enjoyment of other guests will not be tolerated.
7.2 Palate reserves the right to remove any person from the event at any time for violation of these Terms or for behaviour deemed unsafe or disruptive, at the sole discretion of Palate staff or security personnel. Removed individuals are not entitled to a refund.
7.3 No illegal substances are permitted at the event. Any person found in possession of illegal substances may be removed and reported to local authorities.
8. Photography & Media
8.1 By attending Painter's Palate, you consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded as part of the crowd or event documentation, and to the use of such images or footage by Palate for promotional purposes without compensation.
8.2 Commercial photography, filming, or recording at the event without prior written authorization from Palate is prohibited.
9. Liability Disclaimer
9.1 Attendance at Painter's Palate is at your own risk. Palate, Painter's Lodge, and their respective officers, employees, partners, and agents are not liable for any personal injury, loss, theft, or damage to property arising in connection with the event, except where prohibited by law.
9.2 Palate is not responsible for the actions of third-party vendors, performers, sponsors, or other attendees.
9.3 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.
10. Vendor & Volunteer Terms
10.1 Vendors and volunteers are subject to separate agreements as applicable. In the event of any conflict between those agreements and these Terms, the specific vendor or volunteer agreement will govern.
10.2 Palate reserves the right to remove a vendor from the event for breach of their agreement or conduct that violates these Terms, without refund of any fees paid.
11. Intellectual Property
The Painter's Palate name, logo, branding, HOPS, VINE, and CANVAS marks, and all related intellectual property are owned exclusively by Palate Events Ltd. Unauthorized use of any Painter's Palate branding is prohibited.
12. Privacy
Your personal information is collected and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at painterspalate.ca/privacy-policy.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
14. Changes to These Terms
Palate reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted to this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the website or event services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
